DESCRIPTION:
During this trip, we will travel along the Great Ocean Road from Port Campbell, near the South Australian border, to Toquay on the outskirts of Melbourne.
Along the way, we will stop to view the stunning rock formations in the Port Campbell National Park, such as the Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge.
We will also stop at Cape Otway where you will be able to climb to the top of the oldest surviving lighthouse on mainland Australia, and to bask in the magnificent views in both directions along the coastline.
A late lunch can be taken in the many restaurants overlooking the ocean in the seaside town of Apollo Bay, or bring your own sandwiches and sit in the parks along the bay.
After a leisurely lunch and a stroll around the town, we will continue along the Great Ocean Road taking in the views from towns such as Wye River, Lorne, Anglesea and Torquay before reaching Melbourne in the early evening.
Viewing of these sites is possible for people in wheelchairs and for people with limited mobility and other disabilities.
This is a very full day but there is no doubt that everyone will be talking about this tour and the wonderful sights for many years to come!
